Honestly, I'm not sure exactly how this FireBoard system works, but are you capable of posting HTML-code in the forum descriptions?--The main idea I'm having is that, were pictures of different characters, Mecha, or other things used as "separators" between forums, then it would be far more visually enticing for new visitors.

EXAMPLES:
Hardcore Robotech~Louie Nichols working on his pupil pistol
UEG Movie~Image from the U.E.G.'s own projects
Robotech General~Anything really. Captain Gloval? Maybe the RDF logo?
Fan Projects~Anything fanmade.
Original Series~Maybe a VHS box?
Merchandise~Hah hah...Mr. Lingerie

Just a suggestion. I make it because part of the problem I have on these boards is that, well, none of the sections often look interesting to me. Maybe if they were more "visual" it would encourage some to be more "textual."

Good idea. Well, the new version of Fireboard that will come out soon (at the end of the month) should have signature support and even banner support. When this new version is available I'll post a few lines of example code on how you can add those pictures in the signature section.

I was actually referring to sprucing-up the forums' main page located here by placing an image (using HTML) in the description and/or title of each separate section. Would that potentially work?

I just tested that out and it seems adding html code in the descriptions is possible. If you got any good idea's for the images and text to place there then let me know.

I just found out that we can very easily add images to each forum category. Nenad will create some cool icons for it soon.

Sweet. While we're on the topic, I have one more suggestion; it's a bit more outlandish than the previous one, but I hope you will consider it:

As the U.E.G. completes Robotech Genesis, will the forums be moved to a different URL (i.e. not "robotech.UEG.com" but "forums.ueg.com") so as to differentiate it and ensure that the UEG is not identified the same as Robotech Masturbator or the now-questionable RDF-HQ, not as "a group of Robotech fanboys" but rather as "a group of intelligent fans of Mecha-based stories and space opera"?

Along with it could come forums for all the major sci-fi topics so that we could never become stagnant. Even if each only got one post a day, it helps when you're creating things to talk about a variety of related topics--Star Wars, Star Trek, Gundam, Macross, Robotech, Galactica, Babylon 5, et al.

Once Genesis is complete, all that will remain from this site is Genesis download section ,and Artbook download...


All other sections( this forum included) will be taken offline. New project will have its special forums, and U.E.G general forums will be made as well....
