Man that is a tough one. I am gonna do some research on imdb and get back to you. For some reason Sam Neil sticks out in my head as a good person to play the guy who is the head scientist in the Macross part of the Robotech series. AHHHHHHHHH!!! I can't remember the characters name!
There's so many to choose from. For Macross Saga, I'd say Harrison Ford for Cpt. Gloval (K-19), Luke Wilson as Roy Fokker (Old School), Catherine Bell as Lisa Hayes (Jag, Bruce Almighty), Kristen Kruek as Minmay (Smallville). Those are just some brief thoughts.
Not to be racist, but let's think about it for a second.
Isn't Lynn Minmey (yes, my spelling is terriable, I blame the pain killers!) supposed to be you know, Chinese.
It would be more consistant with the story. Her pairents and her aunt and uncle both own a Chinese resturaunt, She even says "I'm Chinese" I think (again , pain killers) and she's from Yokahama's local Chinatown.

You mean doctor Emil Lang. Don't feel bad, he wasn't featured in the show as much a he was the books, people might tend to forget.
