Doesnt Starship troopers have many similarities with Robotech New Generation?

Let's see, many of the vessels look like Garfishs, the armors are similar to the CVR armors, they fight bugs, a fleet is destroyed in the atmosphere border. What about Macross? The song you can hear in the first ground battle is very very very similar if not identical to one of the main Macross Zero battle themes. In this case, it would be Macross Zero who copied them.

In these days, you can almost always point one story and make good similarities with another. I actually felt like Macross Frontier was a good similarity to Starship troopers. Those enemy so far, seem to be more bug like than the invid. Plus, Starship troopers was a book written a long time ago, so if any correlation is made, the animes would've copied from it.

I did notice the similarity in the song though, good observation.

Yeah almost copying songs isnt a strange things among franchises. Transformers almost stole one of the main Terminator songs, you can hear it in part when Megatron and Optimus are fighting. And if I recall correctly (I could be wrong about this one though) Batman almost stole a Dracula movie song.

Well for one it is getting more and more difficult to create original music ( original good music..)

But there the fact that if you steal from good music...you have good music...
For example Gundam Seed has a stolen version of the terminator theme.. ( OST III - Dominion Theme..).

Not to mention the lol of one of the Star Wars ( episode 1) themes blatantly stolen by Scott Glasgow for Shadow Chronicles...

Yeah.. and with all my power of observation my verdict is..



























































...Shadow Chronicles sucks and it's not Robotech!

You know, we should make Shadow Chronicles ripoff report and clearly state its ripoffs.

I do think Scott Glasgow did a good job with the music. Although I will say, I can pinpoint parts of music from Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Starship Troopers, and on and on. Being musically inclined, I can say that a few of his scores have same note and timing in their measures, and aside from a different note here and there, the sound is the same. I think that lends to Scott's tastes, at least he likes great musical scores.

I love a good Starship Troopers referance (even though the movie made
the Mobile Infantry look like total dumb-asses)

Oh, yeh, Shadow Chronicles is pretty bad for a sequal, if we had any
way of doing it , I sugjest that we, the fans, should storm HG and
give them a 'wake the HELL up' call.

By the way, did I mention that I love Starship Trooper referacnes
(or to make fun of the Moblie Infantry because of the movie

I was really hoping for a "Starship Trooper" style show. Macross Frontier seems to be bringing that. Bugs that are just there to kill, with no seemable form of communication with their their rival, I am pretty excited about Macross Frontier. It seems almost a direct throwback to the Starship Troopers, even the Ex-Gear a bit.
